Structural Difference
The triple eccentric butterfly valve, as the name suggests, is three angular offsets to the concentric butterfly valve.
The first eccentricity is that the valve shaft is located behind the valve plate shaft, allowing the seal to have a full tight encircling contact with the entire valve seat.
The second eccentricity is that the concentric of the valve shaft deviates from the concentric of the pipeline and the valve to avoid interference by the opening and closing of the valve.
The third eccentricity is the deviation of the seat cone shaft from the concentric of the valve shaft, which eliminates friction during closing and opening and achieves a uniform compression seal around the entire seat.
The structural feature of the concentric butterfly valve is that the shaft center of the valve stem, the center of the disc and the center of the body are in the same position.
The Difference of Sealing Material
The triple eccentric butterfly valve is mostly hard sealing, and both sides of the sealing are made of metal materials or other hard materials, such as steel + steel; steel + copper; steel + graphite; steel + alloy steel, etc. The triple eccentric butterfly valve is a multi-level seal, can guarantee the sealing performance of the valve.
The sealing surface of the concentric butterfly valve is a soft sealing. One side of the sealing is made of metal material, and the other side is made of elastic non-metallic materials, such as rubber, PTFE, etc.
Difference in use
The triple eccentric butterfly valve is suitable for high temperature and high pressure, and there are impurities in the medium, while the concentric butterfly valve can only be used for clean water, gas, oil and other weak acid and weak alkali medium.
